PURPOSE

Units are used for the batching of chemical water treatment agents into the required quantity used in water and waste water purification technology (coagulants, flocculants, acids, alkali etc.) and also mineral ion solutions to get drinking water of the required composition.

TECHNOLOGICAL PROCESS DESCRIPTION

Calculation of the dose of the chemical water treatment agent is performed based on data related to water composition.

Chemical water treatment agent batching units are designed according to various working principles: proportional batching and regulated batching.

Proportional batching parameters are selected in such a manner as to supply a maximum volume of water with the required amount of chemical water treatment agent.

Regulated batching uses a system which registers the actual water quality and depending on this quality it regulates the batching productivity. Thus batching is performed accurately to this water quality at any specific time. Regulated batching constantly analyses the actual water quality and the chemical water treatment agent is supplied based on this analysis. Thus batching is performed when required based on the data about water quality at any specific time. In some cases it gives the opportunity to essentially reduce chemical water treatment agent consumption.

Batching systems can be used in water processing both continuously and periodically.

The chemical water treatment agent batching unit consists of a welded case with polyethylene tank located at the bottom tray and a pump-dosing mechanism mounted on it.

Dosing pumps (positive displacement pumps with an in-and-out movement) draw in a specified volume of liquid during the reverse of the plunger and push it out of the batching line in the pressurization cycle.

Pump productivity can be regulated by changing the length and stroke rate. Thus accurate batching is achieved that remains constant, even when the reverse pressure changes.
