Water degasification membrane systems are used for reducing gas concentration (oxygen, carbon dioxide, nitrogen, methane, hydrogen sulfide, radon etc.) dissolved in water



Membrane degasification technology is based on the utilization of selective membranes permeable for dissolved gas matters but impermeable for water. Membranes are located in membrane contactors.

The working principle of the membrane degasification unit involves the diffuse transfer of dissolved gases in the inert gas-bearer flow or vacuum through hydrophobic membrane pores. The membrane is an inert bearer which puts water and gas phases in direct contact without mixing them. Mass transfer between the water and gas phases is determined only with the pressure difference of target gas in both phases.

The supply of more pressure to liquid flow in relation to gas flow creates a moving force for dissolved gas in liquid for pass-through membrane openings.

Gas comes out by vacuum pump or sweeping gas.
